BJP president Nitin Nabin on Sunday chaired a meeting of the party’s newly appointed national office-bearers, state presidents and state in-charges to discuss upcoming organisational programmes and finalise the roadmap for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.
The meeting is being held at the BJP’s central headquarters extension wing on Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg in New Delhi and is attended by several senior party leaders and newly appointed office-bearers.
Among those present are national general secretaries Smriti Irani, Vinod Tawde and Biplab Deb, along with Punjab BJP in-charge Satish Poonia, Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon, national vice-president Lal Singh Arya, national office-in-charge and MP Tarun Chugh, and national secretary Sandeep Pathak.
National vice-presidents Vasundhara Raje and Tirath Singh Rawat, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Hemang Joshi, and BJP treasurer and Union Minister Piyush Goyal are also attending the meeting.
According to party sources, a key agenda is to chalk out the roadmap for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ under the ‘Modi @25’ initiative.
The campaign will be organised from September 17 to October 17 to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life as head of government.
The meeting follows a resolution adopted by the BJP a day earlier defending the honour, dignity and historical legacy of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. The party criticised the Congress Working Committee’s decision to restrict its rendition at party programmes to the first two stanzas.
On Saturday, Modi also met the newly appointed national office-bearers at the BJP headquarters. Sharing photographs of the interaction on X, he said organisational meetings provide an opportunity for “new ideas and perspectives” aimed at strengthening the party and deepening its connect with people.
The BJP headquarters extension wing, where Sunday’s meeting is being held, was inaugurated by Modi in 2023.
