The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party will hold its weekly ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting on Tuesday morning to finalise the ruling coalition’s floor strategy for the remaining 10 sitting days of the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.
The meeting will begin at 9.30 a.m. at the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building (PLB), according to a communication circulated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Parliament.
The notice requested all NDA members of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to attend the meeting and reach the venue well before the scheduled time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate in the strategy session along with Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh, and other NDA Members of Parliament.
The ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting serves as the NDA’s weekly parliamentary coordination forum, aimed at ensuring smooth floor management during Parliament sessions. Besides reviewing legislative business and formulating strategy, the meeting seeks to strengthen coordination among alliance partners and facilitate consensus on key issues.
The forum also helps allocate speaking opportunities during parliamentary debates and encourages active participation by MPs from NDA constituents, including the Shiv Sena, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janata Dal (United) and other regional allies.
The previous ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting, held on July 28, marked the first participation of Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) MPs Kakoli Ghosh, Shatabdi Roy and Saayoni Ghosh, who had earlier been associated with the Trinamool Congress.
Following that meeting, several NCPI MPs praised the NDA’s parliamentary coordination mechanism. Speaking after the session, MP Shatabdi Roy described the alliance’s functioning as an “organised system” and said the structured approach was unlike anything she had experienced before.
