J&K Police Attach Properties of Four Pakistan-Based Terrorists in Ramban Under UAPA

Jammu, July 30, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday attached immovable properties belonging to four terrorists settled in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in Ramban district as part of its continuing campaign to dismantle the terror support network in the Union Territory.

According to a police statement, the action was taken under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in compliance with directions issued by the Police Headquarters (PHQ).

The four individuals whose properties have been attached were identified as Abdul Rashid alias Bashir, Ghulam Rasool alias Badshah, Abdul Latief Naik alias Sajjad and Mushtaq Ahmed.

The attached assets include 11 marlas of inherited land under Khewat No. 22, valued at approximately Rs 9.25 lakh, belonging to Abdul Rashid of Zinhal, Banihal. Police also attached 10 kanals of land under Khewat No. 89, with cultivation rights only and an estimated value of around Rs 60 lakh, linked to Ghulam Rasool of Kundan Khari.

Additionally, three kanals of inherited land under Khewat Nos. 107/108, valued at about Rs 20 lakh, belonging to Abdul Latief Naik of Koot Khari, Banihal, were attached. Another two marlas of land under Khewat No. 72, worth approximately Rs 1.52 lakh, belonging to Mushtaq Ahmed of Chareel, Banihal, were also brought under attachment.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Arun Gupta said the police had attached a total of 13 kanals and 13 marlas of immovable property belonging to the four Pakistan-based terrorists under the provisions of the UAPA.

He said Ramban Police remained committed to taking strict action against the terror ecosystem and those supporting it.

Police said the move forms part of sustained efforts to deny terrorists and their associates access to illegally held assets and weaken the financial and logistical infrastructure that supports terrorism. Authorities added that security agencies are also intensifying action against overground workers, terror sympathisers, hawala operators and drug smugglers, as funds generated through such activities are believed to finance terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
