A heated confrontation unfolded on Lock Upp 2 after Vikas Gupta entered the reality show as a visitor and strongly criticised contestant Shilpa Shinde over remarks she allegedly made about fellow contestants Shivangi Joshi and Ram Kapoor.
During the exchange, Vikas accused Shilpa of making inappropriate personal comments and claimed she had crossed the line by discussing sensitive issues on national television. Referring to her alleged remarks about Shivangi Joshi and Ram Kapoor, he questioned her conduct and said such comments reflected poorly on her.
Vikas also objected to what he described as personal attacks and body-shaming, saying that no one’s private life should become the subject of public ridicule. He expressed particular displeasure over the alleged discussion surrounding a contestant’s virginity, stating that such matters should not be debated on national television.
Addressing Shilpa directly, Vikas alleged that she spreads negativity wherever she goes and said her behaviour had remained unchanged despite repeated controversies.
Responding to the criticism, Shilpa defended her remarks, maintaining that she had only spoken about what she believed to be the truth regarding incidents outside the show. She added that viewers were free to interpret her statements as they wished.
The confrontation added to the growing tensions inside the Lock Upp 2 house as the reality show heads towards its grand finale this weekend.
Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, the current season features contestants including Shilpa Shinde, Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopra, Shreya Kalra, Pamala Serena, Akanksha Chamola, Akanksha Chaudhary, Yogesh Rawat and Varun Yadav, among others.
The first season of Lock Upp, hosted by Kangana Ranaut in 2022, was won by Munawar Faruqui. The ongoing season follows a similar format in which contestants complete tasks to earn in-game currency needed for daily necessities and privileges inside the house.
