FIR Filed After 3,000 Kg of Milk Powder Meant for Rajasthan Schoolchildren Allegedly Diverted to Open Market

Jaipur, July 30, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Rajasthan Police have registered an FIR after nearly 3,000 kg of milk powder meant for distribution to students in government schools under the state’s Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana was allegedly diverted and sold in the open market.

The complaint was lodged by the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) at the Samod police station in Jaipur district after authorities uncovered suspected irregularities in the implementation of the milk powder supply scheme.

According to officials, the alleged diversion came to light in the Samod area of Chomu. Acting on specific information, police conducted a raid in Chithwadi village, where they seized a pickup vehicle carrying government-supplied milk powder and detained three suspects for questioning.

The milk powder was intended for use in the mid-day meal programme for students studying in government schools. Officials said the supplies had allegedly been diverted before reaching the intended beneficiaries.

Taking serious note of the matter, the RCDF initiated legal proceedings, citing the Rajasthan government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and misuse of public resources. Police have launched an investigation to identify all those involved in the alleged black-marketing operation.

Officials said stringent legal action would be taken against anyone found guilty after the investigation is completed.

The incident surfaced on the same day Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma chaired a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, where he reiterated the government’s commitment to rewarding honest officials while maintaining a strict stance against corruption.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed departments to ensure effective implementation of public welfare schemes and expedite recruitment to fill vacant posts so that development projects and public services are not affected.

The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Akhil Arora and senior officials from key departments, including Panchayati Raj, Urban Development, Energy, Public Works, Finance and Rural Development.
