The makers of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming action entertainer, directed by Bobby Kolli, have announced the title of the highly anticipated film as ‘Kaaka’. The title was unveiled on Saturday as part of Chiranjeevi’s birthday celebrations.
Produced by KVN Productions, the film’s title teaser also confirmed its theatrical release for January 13, 2027, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival.
The teaser introduces Chiranjeevi as Supervisor Satyam, who works at Ammaji Aqua Industries, a shrimp farm in Ravulapalem. The facility employs workers from different parts of the country.
In the teaser, an employee accidentally drops a key into a shrimp-filled pool while attempting to hand it to Satyam. Chiranjeevi’s character retrieves it using a giant electromagnet, but the key’s emergence also brings several weapons to the surface. The key carries a striking “I love dad” keychain, adding an element of mystery to the character and the story.
The film, which had been referred to as #Mega158, has completed 40 days of shooting, with the makers also completing the edit of the first half.
According to sources close to the production, the first half culminates in a large-scale action sequence designed as a major interval high point. The team is reportedly confident about the initial footage, with the film expected to blend action, emotion, entertainment and intensity.
Anaswara Rajan and Nivetha Pethuraj are playing pivotal roles in the film, which is being planned as a Sankranthi 2027 release.
‘Kaaka’ marks the second collaboration between Bobby Kolli and Chiranjeevi after their successful action entertainer ‘Waltair Veerayya’.
