A Sri Sukhmani Sahib Path was solemnly organized at Punjab Institute of Technology (PIT), Nandgarh, on Wednesday, bringing together university officials, faculty members, students, and local dignitaries in a spiritually enriching atmosphere.
The religious ceremony was graced by the Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, as the Chief Guest, along with senior university functionaries, Associate Dean (Academic Affairs), Dr. Amit Bhatia; Director (Public Relations), Harjinder Singh Sidhu; Director (Training & Placement), Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu; Director, College Development Council, Dr. Dinesh Kumar; and Assistant Director, College Development Council, Dr. Yadvinder Sharma, were also present on the occasion.
The dignitaries paid obeisance before Guru Sahib and offered prayers for the continued growth of the institution, academic excellence, and the well-being of students.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sharma reaffirmed MRSPTU’s unwavering commitment to providing affordable, accessible, and quality technical education to students across the region.
He emphasized that the university is consistently introducing industry-oriented, skill-based, and emerging technology programmes to equip students with the competencies required by modern industries and to strengthen their employability and entrepreneurial potential.
Highlighting the university’s student-centric vision, he said that MRSPTU remains dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry through innovative curricula, practical training, and skill enhancement initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Devanand Uttam, Director, PIT Nandgarh, underscored the institute’s focus on academic excellence, hands-on learning, skill development, and industry-linked training programmes designed to prepare students for successful and rewarding careers.
During the programme, the Vice-Chancellor honoured the Gurbani reciter with a Siropa as a mark of respect and appreciation. Dr. Uttam, along with Assistant Director Dr. Vineet Chawla and Assistant Professor Harmandeep Kaur, felicitated the Vice-Chancellor and other senior university officials with Siropas.
Among those present were former Nandgarh village Sarpanch Dalbara Singh, Kulveer Singh, Jawahar Singh (Numberdar), Gurmeet Singh, faculty members, staff, and students, who participated with devotion and enthusiasm.
The programme concluded with the distribution of Guru Ka Langar, reinforcing the spirit of community service, equality, and togetherness.
