‘Youth of India Is Immortal’: Yo Yo Honey Singh Postpones Song Teaser Amid Protest

Mumbai, July 21, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has postponed the teaser release of his upcoming song “Moonlight”, expressing solidarity with students protesting over alleged examination irregularities and citing the “sentiments of the country and the youth” behind his decision.

The announcement came after Monday’s student protest in Delhi, during which protesters alleged that police used force, including baton charges and tear gas, against demonstrators marching from Jantar Mantar towards Parliament.

Honey Singh Backs Youth

Honey Singh took to Instagram to voice his support for the protesting students, posting a message that read:

“Youth of India is immortal.”

In a subsequent Instagram Story, the singer announced that the teaser launch of “Moonlight” would be postponed for a few days.

Due to sentiments of the country and youth of India, I am postponing the teaser of my new song Moonlight for a few days. Bholenath Shakti Do Inn Bachho Ko. Jai Hind,” he wrote.

Teaser Was Scheduled for Tuesday

Earlier, Honey Singh had informed fans through Instagram that the teaser of “Moonlight” would be released on Tuesday.

However, following the developments surrounding the student protest, the rapper decided to defer the promotional launch and publicly extend his support to the youth.

Protest Over Examination Issues

The protest saw students and activists march from Jantar Mantar towards Parliament, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged NEET examination irregularities and repeated paper leaks.

The demonstrators also called for broader reforms in the country’s examination and education system.

The protest later sparked a political row after allegations of police action against protesters, prompting reactions from several political leaders and public personalities, including Honey Singh.
