Satish Salian, father of late celebrity manager Disha Salian, on Monday reiterated his allegation that his daughter’s death was not an accident or suicide but a premeditated murder, claiming that he has “solid evidence” against several prominent individuals named in connection with the case.
His remarks came after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered an FIR in connection with Disha Salian’s death, following a direction from the Bombay High Court to investigate the case. The FIR reportedly includes allegations of gang rape, murder and criminal conspiracy and names several high-profile individuals.
Asked whether he had concrete evidence against those named, Satish Salian said, “Yes, I have solid evidence against those people.”
He said he had raised allegations before the CBI against former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray and his bodyguard, actor Sooraj Pancholi, actor Dino Morea, former police officer Sachin Waze and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. He also named actor Rhea Chakraborty in connection with what he described as an alleged cover-up.
Satish Salian further alleged a connection between his daughter’s death and the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He claimed that Rajput had planned to hold a press conference to reveal information and had expressed fears that he too could be killed. These claims remain allegations and would have to be established through investigation and judicial proceedings.
Disha Salian, who had worked as a manager for Rajput, died on June 8, 2020 after falling from a residential building in Mumbai’s Malad area. Police had registered an Accidental Death Report at the time.
Meanwhile, advocate Nilesh Ojha, who represents the Salian family, alleged that Disha’s mobile phone was improperly retained and operated after her death and that data and recordings were extracted and erased. He alleged that the phone remained in the possession of certain individuals until it was officially shown as seized on June 17.
The allegations are now subject to the CBI investigation and the due process of law.
