New Delhi, September 14, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Delhi Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu on Monday met Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar and commended the police force for its professionalism and coordination in ensuring smooth security arrangements during the 18th BRICS Summit held in the national capital.

According to a message posted by Lok Niwas on X, Kumar called on the Lieutenant Governor at Lok Niwas. Sandhu congratulated the Police Commissioner and the entire Delhi Police team for their “exemplary professionalism and dedication” in maintaining seamless security and coordination during the three-day global gathering.

The Lieutenant Governor said the efforts of the police ensured that Delhi hosted the BRICS Summit smoothly and safely.

Ahead of the summit, Sandhu had also launched the upgraded website of the Delhi Traffic Police, aimed at making traffic-related information and online services simpler, more interactive, accessible and secure for citizens.

Dedicated to the public on September 10, the revamped platform is part of the Delhi Traffic Police’s efforts to use technology to improve citizens’ everyday interaction with traffic services, an official statement said.

Sandhu said the website should serve not merely as an administrative interface but also as an interactive platform for road safety awareness, civic education and greater citizen participation.

Designed around commuters’ needs, the mobile-friendly website can be accessed through phones, tablets and other devices. It also allows citizens to check challans issued against their vehicles by entering the vehicle number and provides an option to pay the challan amount through a QR code.
