Actress Raashii Khanna has completed 13 years in the Indian film industry and says the journey has gone by quickly because she has always viewed her work as a privilege.
Khanna made her acting debut with the 2013 political thriller Madras Cafe, which she says continues to remind her of the reasons she entered the profession. Since then, she has worked across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema, establishing herself as a pan-India actor.
Reflecting on her career, Khanna said, “Thirteen years is a long time, and it has gone quickly because the work has never stopped feeling like a privilege. Looking back at Madras Cafe reminds me why I started. It gave me the chance to tell stories that matter to me, and I am grateful to every collaborator who has backed me along the way.”
Her career has included projects across four major Indian film industries, with the actress deliberately taking on work in different languages and genres. Her journey has taken her from her debut to prominent projects with audiences across the country.
Khanna was last seen in a special appearance in 120 Bahadur. She is currently filming the second season of Raj and DK’s crime thriller series Farzi, in which she will reprise her role as RBI officer Megha Vyas alongside Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi.
Produced and directed by Raj and DK, Farzi revolves around a disillusioned artist who turns to counterfeiting after facing financial difficulties.
Khanna also has two major projects lined up. She will star opposite Rajinikanth in the Tamil action thriller Dharman and will share the screen with Akshay Kumar in filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s upcoming comedy-drama.
