Delhi Police Rescue Two Kidnapped Minor Girls from Bihar After Interstate Operation

New Delhi, July 26, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Delhi Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Central District has rescued two kidnapped minor girls from Bihar following an extensive interstate search involving technical surveillance, intelligence gathering and close coordination with local police.

The two recoveries relate to separate kidnapping cases registered at Paharganj and Anand Parbat police stations. With these rescues, the AHTU has recovered 46 missing persons so far this year.

According to Delhi Police, investigators examined footage from 65 CCTV cameras and verified nearly 140 locations, including orphanages, shelter homes, religious places and red-light areas, during the search. Multiple interstate operations were also carried out before the girls were traced in Bihar.

The first victim, a 13-year-old girl from Paharganj, had been reported missing in a case registered under FIR No. 347/2026. A breakthrough came after police received specific intelligence along with a mobile number linked to the girl. Technical surveillance initially traced the handset to Saharsa, but its location later shifted to Supaul. Working with the local police at Chhatapur Police Station, the AHTU team successfully rescued the girl.

The second victim, a 15-year-old girl from Anand Parbat, had been missing since December 2025 in a case registered under FIR No. 690/2025. Investigators later received credible information placing her in Benipatti in Bihar’s Madhubani district, leading to her successful recovery.

Police said the kidnappers repeatedly changed their locations and SIM cards to evade detection, complicating the investigation. Despite these challenges, the AHTU continued pursuing leads until both girls were safely rescued and brought back to Delhi.

The operation was carried out by Sub-Inspector Raj Bahadur Singh, Woman Constable Manisha and Constable Ashish Kumar under the supervision of Inspector Anil Yadav, In-charge of AHTU, and ACP/DIU Sunil Kumar.
