India’s Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa advanced to the weekend rounds of the ISPS HANDA Senior Open after making the cut in challenging conditions at Gleneagles’ King’s Course in Scotland.
Jeev, who had opened with a bogey-free five-under 67 to be tied 12th after the first round, endured a difficult second day, carding an eight-over 78. His two-round total of five-over par saw him slip to tied 69th, the final qualifying position as the top 70 players and ties progressed to the weekend.
Randhawa also secured his place in the final two rounds. After an opening-round 72, he returned a one-over 73 to finish alongside Jeev at five-over and tied 69th.
Strong winds and firm course conditions made scoring significantly tougher on Friday, with no player managing a bogey-free round.
Australia’s Cameron Percy retained the lead after posting a two-under 68 to move to nine-under overall, taking a three-shot advantage into the weekend. American Jerry Kelly was second at six-under following a matching 68.
Open champions Ernie Els and Henrik Stenson shared third place at four-under alongside Austria’s Markus Brier.
Percy, who turned 50 in 2024, is chasing his maiden senior title despite a consistent run on the Champions Tour, where he has made all 81 cuts since joining the circuit.
