The NSS Wing of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, successfully organised a seven-day special camp, which concluded on Friday.
The final day of the camp was marked by a blood donation drive organised under the Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav. The central objective of the camp was to create awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Throughout the week-long programme, NSS volunteers undertook a series of impactful activities. These included cleanliness drives at a Gurudwara and within the university campus, plantation drives, a drug awareness campaign, and a free medical camp conducted in collaboration with Crystal Hospital, Bathinda. In addition, the volunteers visited a school for deaf and mute children, and partnered with AIIMS Bathinda to organise the concluding blood donation camp.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Abhilasha Jain, with Dr. Swati serving as the Programme Officer. University Registrar, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, lauded the efforts of the organisers and extended congratulations to the entire team and the NSS volunteers for the successful execution of the camp.
