The activist also expressed gratitude to the doctors, hospital staff and well-wishers who supported him during his treatment.
Earlier, Wangchuk had welcomed the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following the controversy over the alleged NEET question paper leak, describing it as a “victory for democracy” after widespread student protests across the country.
Speaking to reporters after the resignation, Wangchuk urged the Centre to focus on reforms in the education system and governance.
“I congratulate all my fellow countrymen; this is a victory for democracy that we witnessed today,” he had said, while calling upon young people to continue safeguarding democratic values.
He also congratulated students, volunteers and members of his Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), thanking them for raising the issue and for maintaining peaceful protests. Wangchuk praised students and citizens across the country who participated in the movement, saying their commitment to non-violent democratic action deserved recognition.
