Filmmaker Karan Johar on Tuesday celebrated the third anniversary of his directorial venture Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani by sharing a collection of behind-the-scenes photographs from the film’s sets and expressing his eagerness to return to directing.
Taking to Instagram, Johar posted a series of candid images capturing moments from the making of the romantic drama. The photographs show him directing actors, interacting with crew members and discussing scenes with the late veteran actor Dharmendra.
Reflecting on the experience, Johar wrote, “Photo Dump of one of the most joyous experiences I have had on set! #3yearsofRRKPK. I can’t wait to be back on set, for my own heart.”
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marked Johar’s return to the director’s chair after a seven-year gap following Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film featured an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
The romantic family drama was extensively shot in New Delhi and was released in theatres shortly after the global box-office phenomenon created by the simultaneous release of Barbie and Oppenheimer.
Meanwhile, Johar is gearing up for the second season of the reality show The Traitors, which he will host once again. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment in collaboration with independent distributor All3Media International, the new season will feature 21 celebrity contestants competing for the title and the grand prize.
The Traitors Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on August 13.
