Hopeful of forming a Government in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress has rushed its two senior leaders Charanjit Singh Channi and Mukesh Agnihotri to Srinagar.
The trends in Jammu and Kashmir have been favorable for the Congress-NCP combine right from the start. The combine is poised to bag a clear majority as it has been leading in over 50 seats for quite some time.
Channi is a former Chief Minister of Punjab and a sitting MP from Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency while Mukesh Agnihotri is the Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal.
The two leaders were observers for J&K Elections and knew the ground situation.
They are expected to play observers for the post-poll process of formation of government.
