CJP Rejects Political Motive Allegations, Seeks Accountability Over Rajasthan School Conditions

Jaipur, August 22, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka on Saturday rejected allegations that the organisation’s ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign was politically motivated, saying it would continue visiting government schools across India and seeking accountability over poor infrastructure.

Speaking to IANS, Ranka said the campaign was focused on the condition of schools rather than electoral politics.

“We are not here to ask for votes. We are not doing politics against the BJP,” he said, adding that the organisation would continue its school visits until necessary repairs were carried out.

Ranka questioned the Rajasthan government’s response to the condition of government schools and said the focus should be on when authorities would address the infrastructure problems rather than on what CJP would do within 48 hours.

“The question should not be what CJP will do in 48 hours; the question should be when the government will repair these schools. When will the 600 schools in Rajasthan that are functioning without buildings be repaired? When will the 85,000 classrooms that are in poor condition be repaired? You should ask these questions to the Rajasthan government,” he said.

His remarks came amid a controversy over an alleged assault in a Rajasthan village. Ranka said videos of the incident had been circulated on X, Instagram and other social media platforms and had also been submitted to police.

“What happened yesterday has been captured in videos that are available on X, Instagram and other social media platforms. We have also shared those videos with the police. These are unedited videos; we don’t have any narrative,” he said.

Ranka claimed the footage showed the faces of people allegedly involved in the assault and said they could be identified and arrested. He added that if there was evidence against CJP members, it should also be made public.

Rejecting allegations of an anti-BJP political agenda, Ranka said the organisation had visited the area because a school was allegedly operating from a buffalo shed for around two-and-a-half years.

He said he had personally visited the school last year and had shared a video showing its condition. According to him, children should not be required to study in such circumstances.

Ranka also criticised Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar over the alleged condition of the school, questioning which school the authorities were attempting to protect. He claimed the tin structure could collapse and said buffaloes and fodder were kept nearby.

The CJP spokesperson said the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign would continue until the schools concerned were repaired.
