India’s Rayhan Thomas carded an impressive 8-under 64 to share fifth place, while Indian-origin golfer Mahanth Chirravuri shot a career-best 9-under 63 to lie fourth after the opening round of the AdventHealth Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Chirravuri, who finished No. 8 in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2026, produced a bogey-free round at Blue Hills Country Club. He went on a five-birdie streak from the third hole and added an eagle on the 13th to finish at 9-under.
Thomas was equally impressive, recording eight birdies without dropping a shot. His bogey-free 64 put him firmly in contention after the opening day.
Andrew Kozan set the pace with a spectacular career-low 12-under 60, taking a two-shot lead. The American’s flawless round included an eagle on the par-4 fourth, where he holed out from 133 yards. He followed it with a string of birdies to better his previous career-low score of 63, which he had recorded three times.
Four-time Korn Ferry Tour winner Robby Shelton also finished among the top five at 8-under, alongside Thomas. Ross Steelman, the current No. 1 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, opened with a 6-under 66 and was tied for 22nd.
The AdventHealth Championship is the final regular-season event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour. Following this tournament, the top 156 players on the Points List will qualify for the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation, the first of four events in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
