Actor Ronit Bose Roy took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he recalled working with Hollywood star Brendan Fraser in the 2019 crime drama Line of Descent.
Ronit shared a throwback photograph on Instagram featuring Fraser with Ronit’s wife Neelam and their children, remembering the Hollywood actor as “very gracious and extremely talented”.
“And this popped up today. Reminded me of way back, when I worked and we spent time with the very gracious and extremely talented @brendan__fraser,” Ronit wrote alongside the picture.
Line of Descent, written and directed by Rohit Karn Batra, revolves around three brothers who are caught in a struggle over the future of their crime family following the death of their mafia patriarch. Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi and Ali Haji played the brothers, while Fraser, Prem Chopra and Abhay Deol featured in supporting roles.
The film, earlier titled The Field, was released simultaneously in theatres and on video-on-demand in the US.
Fraser rose to prominence in the 1990s with films such as Encino Man, School Ties, With Honors and George of the Jungle. He went on to gain international recognition as Rick O’Connell in The Mummy franchise and later took on acclaimed dramatic roles in films including Gods and Monsters, The Quiet American and Crash.
Ronit, meanwhile, became a household name on Indian television with his roles as Mihir Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
He made his film debut with Jaan Tere Naam in 1992 and later appeared in movies including Udaan, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Student of the Year, Midnight’s Children, Shootout at Wadala, Ugly, Boss, 2 States, Kaabil, Sarkar, Lucknow Central, Liger and Gumraah.
Ronit was most recently seen on the big screen in Kajol-starrer Maa, a spin-off of the 2024 film Shaitaan and set in the same universe.
