UNITED SIKHS has announced the launch of its official mobile application, now available on the Google Play Store and set to arrive soon on the Apple App Store.
The organisation said the initiative marks a significant step among Sikh NGOs, introducing a dedicated mobile platform focused on volunteer management, humanitarian action, advocacy and community empowerment.
The app was developed through the efforts of Gauhar Singh and Pavit Singh, members of the UNITED SIKHS Student Association. Their work has transformed the concept into a centralised platform aimed at connecting volunteers worldwide, streamlining humanitarian response and strengthening engagement across the organisation’s areas of service.
The platform will support UNITED SIKHS’ work in several key areas, including disaster relief, community development, legal aid, human rights advocacy and education programmes.
Under Disaster Relief, the app will help mobilise rapid response teams to provide food, medical assistance and rehabilitation support during natural and human-induced disasters.
Its Community Development initiatives will focus on supporting marginalised communities through livelihood projects, vocational training and grassroots empowerment, while Legal Aid services will assist people facing discrimination, religious freedom concerns and civil rights violations.
The organisation’s Human Rights Advocacy efforts will focus on justice and equality for minority communities globally. Its Education Programs will include awareness campaigns, workshops and other initiatives aimed at strengthening knowledge and resilience.
UNITED SIKHS said the launch reinforces its vision of creating a stronger and more connected global volunteer network. By combining traditional values of service with technology, the app is intended to help coordinate efforts across disaster zones, classrooms and courtrooms while advancing dignity, justice and equality.
