Punjabi actress Shehnaaz Gill believes love should be valued regardless of whether it reaches its destination, saying that incomplete love stories can also hold meaning and should not become a source of regret.
Speaking to IANS, Shehnaaz said that the fulfilment of love is not the only measure of its importance and stressed the need to live in the present.
“Love is incomplete, whether it is fulfilled or not. It shouldn’t matter. I think we should live in the present,” she said.
The actress, whose bond with late actor Sidharth Shukla was widely admired, advised people to focus on the present, live happily and remain loyal in relationships rather than constantly worrying about the future.
“People keep looking toward the future, but sometimes that only brings pain. So it’s better to live in the present, live well, and live happily,” she added.
Shehnaaz also spoke about love stories involving people across borders, saying that love often becomes linked with political discussions because of its emotional power.
“When there is love, political agendas and all these things start forming because love is such a powerful thing,” she said.
