Veteran actress Zeenat Aman recently enjoyed a leisurely day off in Jaipur, exploring the city’s bustling markets, shopping for silver and saris and unwinding over high tea at the iconic Rambagh Palace.
Sharing glimpses of her Jaipur outing on Instagram, the ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ actress described the city as “magic” and said she spent her free day experiencing some of what Jaipur does best.
Zeenat said she explored the narrow and crowded lanes of Johri Bazaar, calling the experience a “sensory adventure”. She also reflected on the character of the city’s old markets, from their vibrant colours and lively banter to shopkeepers displaying one item after another for customers.
Her day later took a more relaxed turn at Rambagh Palace, where she enjoyed tea and something sweet amid its fountains, manicured gardens, peacocks and flowers. She also mentioned having her palm read by a palmist who, she said, humoured her about her “state of affairs”.
Reflecting on how she approaches travel, Zeenat said she has become less interested in following a checklist and prefers allowing experiences to unfold naturally.
“These days, I’d rather wander into a market, find something lovely for someone I care about, sit in the sunshine, look at an old building, eat something delicious and allow the day to unfold at its own pace,” she wrote.
The actress said the freedom of an off day lies in not having to make it productive, but simply making it memorable, adding that Jaipur had certainly done that for her.
The photographs shared by Zeenat show her posing for the camera as well as candid moments from her shopping and exploration of Jaipur’s markets. The veteran actress frequently shares glimpses of her personal life and experiences on social media.
On the professional front, Zeenat was recently seen in the series ‘The Royals’, which features Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Vihaan Samat, Dino Morea and Milind Soman in the ensemble cast.
