Actress Rashmika Mandanna has praised her husband and actor Vijay Deverakonda for his dedication to work while sharing her experience of working with him on their upcoming period drama Ranabaali.
The film marks their primary screen association following their wedding. During an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram on Wednesday, Rashmika was asked about her experience of working with Vijay on the film.
Responding to the fan, the Animal actress said that while working together involves plenty of fun, Vijay remains extremely focused and dedicated when he is on set.
“Alwaysssss lots of FUN. But on a serious note he is super dedicated and serious when it comes to set as you all know!! And I get to learn a lot from him too as always!!” Rashmika wrote.
Earlier, Ranabaali director Rahul Sankrityan revealed that he named Rashmika’s character in the film after his mother.
Sharing the inspiration behind the character on X, Sankrityan wrote that while developing the world of Ranabaali, he drew upon personal memories and decided to give the female protagonist his mother’s name, Jayamma.
He added that he had taken care to portray the character as a woman capable of inspiring women today, despite belonging to another era.
Rashmika and Vijay have already completed the shoot for Ranabaali. Sankrityan announced the wrap after 130 days of filming, sharing a video featuring the film’s unit and describing the production journey as 130 days of “madness” with his team.
