Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said the state government will translate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance on development, public service and grassroots engagement into action, describing their meeting with the Prime Minister as “historic and inspiring”.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Saturday, Saini said Modi had stressed strengthening Haryana’s contribution to the vision of a Viksit Bharat and ensuring that the government remained closely connected with the people.
“Prime Minister Modi’s guidance is our resolve,” Saini said, adding that ministers, MLAs and organisational workers would take the message to their respective departments, constituencies and villages.
He said regular meetings would be organised in 30 to 35 villages in every Assembly constituency. Groups of 200 to 300 people would visit villages every month, conduct cleanliness drives, hold tiffin meetings and interact with residents to understand and address local issues.
According to Saini, the Prime Minister emphasised that building a developed India required the participation of every village, farmer, youth, woman and family, and that politics should be treated as a means of public service beyond election periods.
The Chief Minister said the state would focus on cleanliness, environmental protection, plantation drives and promoting girls’ education, particularly in areas where female literacy levels remain low.
He added that Modi had urged the state to help farmers become energy producers alongside their role as food providers. Under the PM-KUSUM scheme, farmers would be encouraged to adopt solar-powered agricultural pumps and install solar panels along field boundaries. Efforts under the PM Surya Ghar scheme would also be accelerated.
Saini said rooftop solar panels had already been installed in more than 1.5 lakh houses in Haryana, with these households benefiting from zero electricity bills.
He said the government would pursue the Prime Minister’s guidance through public participation and sustained engagement at the grassroots level.
