Noida, October 3, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
The man who died after falling from the 43rd floor of the Supernova Spira Tower in Noida has been identified as 29-year-old Sambhav Jain, a resident of Manesar in Haryana’s Gurugram district, police said on Saturday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida Zone) Manisha Singh told IANS that police received information around 11:30 a.m. about a person falling from a room’s balcony at the Supernova Spira Tower in Sector 94, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 126 police station.
“Upon receiving the information, local police immediately reached the spot and identified the individual as Sambhav Jain, aged around 29 years, originally a resident of Manesar in Haryana’s Gurugram,” Singh said.
She added that the victim’s family had been informed and that investigators were collecting evidence from the site. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while further investigation is underway.
According to preliminary reports, Jain was staying at an Airbnb accommodation in the Supernova complex. A video purportedly showing the incident has circulated on social media.
Police have not yet established the circumstances leading to the incident or confirmed any reason behind it. Media reports, quoting an air-conditioning mechanic who reportedly tried to intervene, claimed that Jain had spoken about being depressed. This account has not been independently verified by the police.
The incident has drawn attention to another recent suicide case in Greater Noida. Last month, a first-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) student was found dead in his room in Sector Alpha-2, within the jurisdiction of Beta-2 police station.
The student had reportedly moved to Noida about a month before the incident and was pursuing his first-year MCA course through online classes.
