Hyderabad, October 3, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda has extended his support to Jr NTR’s demand for strict regulations against the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI), following the circulation of a morphed video featuring the song ‘Chuttamalle’ from the film Devara on social media.

Reacting to Jr NTR’s post on X, Vijay called for stringent legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating the video, describing the incident as an example of extreme insensitivity.

“We have stooped to the levels of absolute lowlife. Whoever is responsible for this should not be spared. They must face the harshest possible legal consequences and be made an example of. We must not let this go,” Vijay wrote.

Questioning the wider social implications of such content, the actor expressed concern over the use of AI to degrade others at a time when the technology is already raising concerns about its impact on jobs and livelihoods.

He also described the creation and circulation of the morphed video as the digital equivalent of sexual assault, urging the law to treat such acts with utmost seriousness. Vijay concluded by expressing his full support for Jr NTR and his team.

Earlier, Jr NTR had strongly condemned the AI-generated morphed video and vowed to pursue legal action against both its creators and those sharing it.

Calling the content “Disgusting, Sick and Shameless”, the actor said the use of AI to disrespect a woman in a degrading manner was unacceptable. He also appealed to social media users not to watch, share or engage with the video, warning that such content could target anyone.

Jr NTR urged state governments and the Union government to take strong action and introduce strict regulations to prevent the misuse of AI.

Actress Janhvi Kapoor had also expressed concern over the circulation of AI-generated fake videos. In a post on X, she urged people not to create, share or promote such content and said legal action would be taken against those involved.

The reactions from the actors have brought renewed attention to concerns over the misuse of AI-generated content, online harassment and the need for safeguards against digitally manipulated material.
