Bollywood actor Salman Khan extended birthday wishes to Maharashtra MLA Zeeshan Siddique, son of late politician Baba Siddique, through a social media post on Saturday.
Salman shared a picture with Zeeshan on the Stories section of his official Instagram account, accompanied by the message, “Happy Birthday Zeeshan @zeeshanBabaS (sic)”.
Salman shared a close bond with Baba Siddique, a senior NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister who was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12, 2024. Despite threats, the actor attended the politician’s funeral.
Baba Siddique was also known for hosting high-profile Iftar parties during Ramadan, which regularly brought together prominent personalities from Bollywood, including Salman.
One of the most memorable moments at these gatherings came in 2013, when Salman and Shah Rukh Khan ended their long-standing feud with a hug at Baba Siddique’s Iftar party. The two actors had reportedly fallen out following a clash at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in 2008.
On the professional front, Salman is currently working on the upcoming war drama Maatrubhumi, previously titled Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is based on the June 15, 2020, clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. Salman is set to portray Colonel Santosh Babu, who led the 16 Bihar Regiment during the confrontation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Backed by Salman Khan Films, the movie also features Chitrangda Singh as the female lead.
Salman’s upcoming projects include SVC 63, directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Nayanthara, as well as an untitled thriller with Raj and DK. He is also hosting the 20th season of the reality show Bigg Boss.
