Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a meeting with Haryana BJP MLAs, including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, at his official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, describing the interaction as a “meaningful dialogue” on public service and welfare.
In a post on X, Modi said the meeting was pleasant and involved discussions on several subjects, including improving public service and working more effectively for public welfare.
“Today’s meeting with all BJP MLAs of Haryana at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg was very pleasant. There was an extremely meaningful dialogue with them on several topics,” the Prime Minister wrote.
He added that discussions focused on serving the public and devotees, as well as strengthening efforts for public welfare. BJP president Nitin Nabin and the party’s Haryana in-charge, Smriti Irani, were also present.
Speaking about the meeting, Haryana BJP MLA Laxman Singh Yadav said Modi spent around two hours with the legislators, shared his experiences and encouraged them to work not only as political workers but also as social workers.
MLA Ghanshyam Arora said the Prime Minister recalled his time as an organisation secretary in Haryana and sought updates on people he had known during that period. Arora added that state ministers shared feedback on the functioning of their respective ministries.
According to Arora, Modi stressed the need for better coordination between the government and the party organisation, greater public participation in programmes and continued engagement with people.
BJP MLA Dhanesh Adlakha said the Prime Minister urged legislators to serve people through governance as well as individual social-service initiatives. MLA Mukesh Sharma also described the meeting as a constructive discussion centred on work and service.
