Content creator Nazma Shaikh has clarified that actor Rajpal Yadav was not asked to leave during the burial of veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, amid a viral video that appeared to suggest otherwise.
In a video shared on Instagram, Shaikh said the footage circulating online had created a misleading impression about the incident and shared additional visuals to explain what had actually happened.
Shaikh said Yadav was very close to Mushtaq Khan and described their relationship as that of an elder and younger brother. She also said Yadav had been with Khan shortly before his death and was present during the proceedings at the graveyard as well as the prayer meet.
According to Shaikh, her objection at the venue was directed at people who were repeatedly taking photographs and selfies during the solemn proceedings, rather than at Yadav.

“There were some people, who were there only to click pictures when that was not the place to click pictures. It was a place to wish peace upon someone,” she said.
Shaikh said people were continuously taking pictures with actors including Mukesh Rishi, Upasana Singh and Rajpal Yadav, despite the setting being a prayer meet rather than a place for photographs.
She said her reaction was aimed at those taking pictures without considering the nature of the gathering and not at Yadav.
Shaikh also appealed to media organisations and journalists not to draw conclusions from the viral clip without considering the complete context.
“I urge my friends in the media to not run misleading narratives, and please publish the whole truth,” she said.
