Fashion stylist Rhea Kapoor has shared details of Janhvi Kapoor’s distinctive saree ensemble for the BoF 500 gala in Paris, highlighting the intricate craftsmanship and rich heritage of Indian textiles behind the look.
Janhvi wore an ethereal saree made from 460-count Bengal Muslin, a delicate fabric that Rhea described as being “woven like air”. In a post on Instagram, Rhea explained that the fabric was Khud-Rang, meaning unbleached, and is also known as Baft-E-Hawa, Shabnami or Chandani.
Describing Muslin Khadi as the “truest form of luxury”, Rhea emphasised that the fabric is woven exclusively in India. The ensemble, created by Pankaj S Heritage, featured ornate sleeves embellished with polkis, garnets and emeralds, along with Saraafa tassels, Kiran detailing and Resham fringes.
