Punjabi singer and actor Jassie Gill has shared an emotional tribute to his late mother Ravinder Kaur, who passed away on July 27 after a prolonged illness.
The singer took to Instagram on Thursday and posted two throwback pictures with his mother along with a heartfelt message expressing his love and grief.
Sharing his emotions, Jassie wrote in Punjabi, “Har janam bane tu Maa meri, har janam main tera putt hova. Alvida Maa. Until we meet again, Rest peacefully.”
Ravinder Kaur’s demise has led to an outpouring of condolences from members of the Punjabi music and film industry, with fans and well-wishers extending support to the singer and his family.
According to reports, Jassie’s mother had been undergoing treatment for cancer for nearly six months before her death. Her last rites were scheduled to be held in their native village of Jandali in Punjab.
Jassie Gill has largely kept his family life away from the public eye but has often spoken about the support and encouragement he received from his family throughout his career.
The singer-actor’s loss has marked a deeply personal moment for him, with colleagues and fans standing by him during this difficult time.
On the professional front, Jassie Gill is set to appear in the upcoming Punjabi film Judaa, opposite Amyra Dastur. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 21, 2026.
