Actor Himansh Kohli has spoken about how Hrithik Roshan’s performance in the 2019 biographical drama Super 30 left a lasting impression on him and influenced his perspective as an actor.
In an interview with IANS, the Yaariyan actor praised Hrithik’s portrayal of mathematician Anand Kumar, describing the performance as inspiring and deeply moving. He said the actor’s ability to move away from a glamorous image and convincingly portray a real-life character was particularly impactful.
Himansh said that when an actor steps away from glamour and adopts a more realistic appearance, the challenge lies in making audiences believe in the character rather than the actor’s image.
He added that Hrithik’s performance in Super 30 connected with many people, including him, as the film highlighted the struggles of students and the importance of education.
Drawing a comparison with his upcoming film Aryabhatt Ka Zero, Himansh said both stories revolve around education and the aspirations of young people seeking opportunities despite limited resources. However, he clarified that the two films are not identical and explore different narratives.
“Aryabhatt Ka Zero” focuses on the origin and significance of the concept of zero (Shunya), the place value system and the contributions of legendary Indian mathematician and astronomer Aryabhatta to mathematics.
The film also stars Sonal Sehgal, Darshana Banik, Naresh Vohra, Alka Amin and Neeraj Sood in key roles, while Shilpa Shinde makes a special appearance.
Directed by Kamal Chandra, Aryabhatt Ka Zero is scheduled to release in theatres on August 7.
