Actor Ravi Dubey has described the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff as a “major security lapse”, saying he was relieved that Shroff escaped unharmed and hoping those responsible are arrested at the earliest.
Speaking to the media, Dubey said he had not yet spoken to Shroff but was thankful that the actor was safe. He also expressed concern over injuries suffered by Shroff’s driver.
“I am sure that a lot of assurance has been given to the family as well. This is a major security lapse. I haven’t spoken to Tiger yet. The good thing is that Tiger is safe and sound. His driver, however, sustained injuries, and I hope he recovers soon,” Dubey said.
He urged authorities to take the incident seriously and ensure that those responsible are apprehended, saying their arrest would provide relief to everyone concerned.
“We are nobody to make demands from the government. What we can do is request them that this is a major security lapse,” he added.
Dubey and Shroff reside in the same building.
The firing took place outside a football club near Pushpa Narsee Park in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18. Shroff escaped injury, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver were injured.
According to police-related reports, three suspects allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, by a joint team of the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force and Kota City Police, acting on inputs from Mumbai Police.
