New Delhi, October 18, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Pakistan has extended its airspace restrictions on Indian aircraft by another month, keeping the ban in force until November 24, 2026, according to a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The extension replaces the earlier deadline of October 24 and applies to both civilian and military aircraft associated with India. The restrictions cover Indian-registered aircraft as well as those owned, operated or leased by Indian airlines and aviation operators.

The ban remains applicable across Pakistan’s Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions, with no indication of an imminent relaxation.

The restrictions were introduced on April 23, 2025, amid escalating tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. India accused Pakistan of backing the attack, a charge rejected by Islamabad.

India subsequently imposed reciprocal restrictions on Pakistani airlines and aircraft from April 30, 2025.

Both countries have repeatedly extended their respective airspace curbs since the measures were introduced, reflecting the continued strain in bilateral relations.

Pakistan has imposed similar restrictions on Indian aircraft during previous periods of heightened tensions, including the 1999 Kargil conflict and the aftermath of the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.

The latest extension means Indian aircraft will continue to be barred from Pakistani airspace until the revised deadline unless the authorities announce a further change.
