Singer Falguni Pathak shared a heartwarming explanation for why she continues to look the same after 16 years during a light-hearted exchange with actor Ayushmann Khurrana at the promotions of his upcoming film Yeh Prem Mol Liya.
The Bala actor playfully asked the singer how she had managed to maintain the same appearance over the years, joking that while he and others had grown up since childhood, she seemed to be living in her childhood even today.
“Pehle, Falguni ji ye bataiye ki aap 16 saalo se same kaisi dikhti hain? Hum bachpan se bade ho gaye hain, aap bachpan mein hi jee rahe hain abhi tak!” Ayushmann said.
Pathak responded warmly, attributing it to the affection of her fans.
“Yeh log mujhe bada hone nahi dete!” she replied, meaning that her fans never let her grow up.
Ayushmann then connected her enduring appeal to her music and the nostalgia it evokes among listeners.
“Aapka music hai inke paas, bade kabhi ho hi nahi sakte. Ek kalakaar ke liye baccha bane rehne hamesha bahot zaroori hota hai,” he said, explaining that people who grow up listening to her music can never truly leave their childhood behind. He added that retaining a childlike spirit is important for every artist.
The actors later joined the Dandiya Queen at her Mumbai garba night to celebrate the success of Jai Ambe Bol, a festive song from Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming family entertainer.
Speaking about the film and its music, Ayushmann said Yeh Prem Mol Liya is scheduled to release on November 27 and features a devotional song presented in the garba format.
“Humari film ka naam hai Yeh Prem Mol Liya aur 27th November ko yeh film aane wali hain. Iss film mein ek garba ka gaana bhi hain ‘Jai Ambe Bol’. Toh pehli baar aapko ek devotional song nazar aayega in garba form in Hindi cinema. Sooraj Barjatya sir ne yeh film direct ki hain, and we are very excited to come up with this film. Aapne shayad iska pehla gaana suna hoga, and I hope you liked it,” he said.
Actor Sharvari also encouraged audiences to watch the film with their families, highlighting Barjatya’s signature family-oriented storytelling.
“Sabhi ko pata hain ki Sooraj sir ki jo filmein hoti hain wo theatres ko ghar bana deti hain. Toh aap poore parivaar ko yeh film dekhne zaroor aaiyega. Aapke parivaar ko humare parivaar ki taraf se mai invite karti hu,” she said, inviting families to experience the film together.
The evening began with Ayushmann and Sharvari visiting a shrine dedicated to the goddess and offering prayers. Dressed in traditional outfits, the two performed the rituals before joining Falguni Pathak and other guests for the garba celebrations.
They later took to the stage and greeted the audience as people gathered at the venue to celebrate Navratri.
Directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and backed by Rajshri Productions, Yeh Prem Mol Liya stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 27, 2026.
