BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan has expressed concern over the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, saying he has full faith in the Maharashtra Police investigation and demanding strict punishment for those responsible.
Calling the incident deeply concerning, Kishan said Shroff was safe and prayed for his well-being. He also expressed confidence that the Maharashtra government and police would ensure a thorough investigation and that the perpetrators would not be spared.
“This is a deeply concerning and tragic incident. It is currently under active investigation, and we have full faith in the Maharashtra Police. Tiger is an innocent man and a true gentleman. By the grace of Mata Rani, he is safe,” Kishan said.
He added that he prayed for Shroff’s protection and good health and called for a swift investigation into the shooting.
The incident reportedly took place on the evening of October 18, when Shroff was returning by car after playing football. According to the complaint, two unidentified assailants approached the vehicle and opened fire with pistols, injuring the actor’s caretaker and driver, Firdos Ibrahim Baloch. Another person in the vicinity was also reportedly hit by a bullet.
Shroff and Baloch had allegedly left M.M. Matrix Gym in Santacruz West around 7 p.m. before heading to the grounds of Jamnabai Narsee International School in Vile Parle West to play football. The shooting occurred as they were returning from the game.
The complaint states that the attackers approached the car from the front and left side as it exited the school grounds and turned left. The sudden gunfire reportedly caused panic, with people nearby running for safety.
Juhu Police have registered a case against three unidentified persons under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act.
Police are investigating the incident to identify the alleged shooters and establish the roles of others who may have been involved. Further details are awaited.
