Television personality Rannvijay Singha is set to return as the host of the 21st season of the popular reality show “MTV Roadies”, titled “Roadies REBIRTH”.
Expressing his excitement about the new season, Rannvijay said the show remains deeply personal to him and that the latest edition aims to revive its core spirit for a new generation.
“Roadies isn’t just a show for me; it’s an emotion. After all these years, the hunger, courage and dreams of every Roadie still hit differently,” he said.
“Roadies REBIRTH is about that very essence, i.e., pushing your limits, fighting harder and refusing to back down. I’ve seen Roadies evolve over the years and this new chapter feels incredibly exciting because it brings that same raw spirit back in a whole new way,” he added.
Rannvijay said he was looking forward to watching a new generation of contestants challenge themselves and navigate the hurdles and twists of the competition.
“With a new generation ready to test themselves, I can’t wait to see who has what it takes to make their mark and how they navigate the twists and turns that await them. See you at the auditions!” he said.
The makers have already begun building anticipation around the new season with the unveiling of the “Roadies REBIRTH” logo. The identity features a phoenix, symbolising transformation and rebirth.
A recent promotional video also offered a glimpse of Rannvijay, with three red and three yellow helmets appearing in the reflection of his sunglasses.
The reality series, which premiered on MTV India on August 15, 2003, follows contestants as they travel to different destinations and compete in tasks designed to test their physical, mental and social abilities. The show is also available digitally on JioHotstar.
Auditions for “Roadies REBIRTH” will be held in Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Pune in September.
Rannvijay has a long association with the franchise. He was part of “MTV Roadies” from 2004 to 2020, serving as a contestant, gang leader and later host. He was also associated with the judging panel from Season 8 to Season 18.
He made his Bollywood debut with “Toss: A Flip of Destiny” and subsequently appeared in films including “London Dreams” and “Action Replayy”. He made his Punjabi film debut in 2011 with “Dharti”, starring Jimmy Sheirgill.
