Singer and composer Armaan Malik has returned to the quintessential Bollywood romance with his latest track, ‘Kaho Toh’, from the upcoming film ‘Prem Keetanu’.
Featuring Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed, the song combines a classic romantic sound with qawwali elements. Sachin Urmtosh has penned the lyrics, while Annkur R Pathakk has composed the music. The qawwali portion has been sung by Altamash Faridi.
Describing the song as an out-and-out Bollywood romantic number, Armaan said singing such tracks takes him back to an era when larger-than-life romantic songs were an integral part of Hindi cinema.
“It always gives me a lot of joy to sing songs like this because they transport you back to a time when these larger-than-life romantic songs were such an integral part of Bollywood films,” he said, adding that he was happy to return to his “OG romantic roots” with the song.
‘Kaho Toh’ also marks Armaan’s first collaboration with composer Annkur R Pathakk. The singer said he particularly liked the way the song blends traditional Bollywood romance with qawwali.
The makers had earlier released the peppy track ‘Undi Bundi’ from the film.
The seven-song album of ‘Prem Keetanu’ features voices including Sachet Tandon, Parampara Tandon, B Praak, Armaan Malik, Papon, Jubin Nautiyal, Madhur Sharma, Altamash Faridi, Shashi Suman and Brijesh Shandilya.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film stars Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed, Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay, among others.
Produced by Gaurav Verma under Avanika Films, ‘Prem Keetanu’ follows a group of youngsters as they navigate friendship, first love, one-sided love and heartbreak.
The film is co-presented by Phars Films and Bhavana Studios and is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
