Wamiqa Gabbi, John Abraham, Raveena Tandon, Anant Ambani, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh are among the prominent names set to be honoured at the Cine Kind Awards Night 2026, an initiative celebrating kindness, empathy and animal welfare through the influence of cinema.
Organised in collaboration with the Film Federation of India (FFI) and People for Animals (PFA), the Cine Kind Awards 2026 is a national initiative recognising individuals and stories that contribute to a more compassionate society.
The awards will honour filmmakers, actors, journalists, innovators and grassroots changemakers whose work and public influence promote kindness, empathy, animal welfare and social responsibility.
Other distinguished names to be recognised this year include Kalyan Varma, Amit Rai and Rajan Shahi. Organisations and individuals working at the grassroots level for animal welfare and social change will also be felicitated.
The Film Federation of India is the apex body representing various segments of the Indian film industry, including producers, distributors, exhibitors and allied trades. Its partner for the Cine Kind initiative, People for Animals, is an animal welfare organisation founded and chaired by Maneka Sanjay Gandhi. PFA works across rescue, rehabilitation, advocacy and public awareness.
The initiative seeks to build a stronger connection between cinema, culture and social responsibility by using the reach and influence of the entertainment industry to encourage compassion and meaningful social action.
The distinguished Cine Kind jury includes Sonu Sood, Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman, Sonakshi Sinha and Shriya Saran. The initiative underlines the broader role of cinema beyond entertainment, highlighting its potential to inspire audiences and contribute to positive change in society.
