Bhopal, September 5, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred six State Administrative Service officers to key positions in district panchayats and other administrative assignments as part of a fresh reshuffle, officials said on Saturday.

The order moves officers from development authorities, collectorates, election-related assignments and existing district panchayat posts to new responsibilities across the state.

Narottam Prasad Bhargava, a 2008-batch officer serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Gwalior Development Authority, has been transferred as CEO of the Harda District Panchayat.

Akhilesh Kumar Jain, also from the 2008 batch, has been shifted from his dual responsibilities as Additional Collector of Guna district and competent authority for GAIL (India) Limited at Vijaypur in Guna to CEO of the Dhar District Panchayat.

Surbhi Tiwari, another 2008-batch officer who was serving as Deputy Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh in Bhopal, has been appointed CEO of the Vidisha District Panchayat.

Omprakash Sanodiya, a 2011-batch officer and the outgoing CEO of Vidisha District Panchayat, has been posted as Additional Mela Officer for the Simhastha fair in Ujjain. The assignment comes as preparations intensify for the large religious congregation that attracts millions of devotees.

Shailendra Singh, a 2011-batch officer, has been transferred from CEO of Satna District Panchayat to the corresponding post in Datia District Panchayat.

Sapna Tripathi, a 2012-batch officer serving as Additional Collector of Rewa district, has been appointed CEO of the Satna District Panchayat.

Officials said the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening district-level administration, particularly the functioning of district panchayats responsible for rural development schemes, local self-governance and coordination with district administrations.

The officers have been directed to assume charge of their new assignments without delay.
