Actor Krushal Ahuja, known for his performances in television shows including Jhanak, has opened up about the uncertainties of a career in showbiz, saying that getting an opportunity is only the beginning and staying relevant requires consistent effort.
In an exclusive quote shared with IANS, Krushal said there is no guarantee that an actor who enters the entertainment industry will remain a part of it throughout their career.
“You can get cast and start working in this industry, but there is no guarantee that you’ll remain in this industry throughout,” he said.
Reflecting on his definition of success, Krushal said consistency is one of the most important factors for an actor. He also believes that the ability to connect emotionally with audiences is a key measure of achievement.
“I think the definition of success is maybe being consistent in this industry. If you can transfer your emotions and what you are feeling and make the audience feel the exact same thing, I think that is a part of success,” he said.
The actor also spoke about the role of self-doubt in personal and professional growth. Rather than viewing doubts negatively, he believes they can encourage introspection and help a person identify areas that require improvement.
“Doubts are good for your growth,” Krushal said, adding that regularly questioning one’s own performance can help identify shortcomings and create opportunities to improve.
Describing himself as his own biggest critic, Krushal said he constantly evaluates his work and looks for ways to evolve as a performer.
Asked how he continues to grow as an actor, he summed up his approach simply: “By simply trying to be better than what I was yesterday.”
