Innocent Hearts Schools celebrated Dussehra with enthusiasm across their Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.–Jandiala Road, Noorpur Road and Kapurthala Road campuses, engaging students in activities highlighting the festival’s message of the triumph of good over evil.
The celebrations combined cultural learning, creativity and storytelling to familiarise students with the significance of Dussehra and the rich traditions associated with the Ramayana.
Children from Nursery to UKG participated in colourful festive activities, while students of Grades I and II explored the epic through The Ayodhya Adventures. The activity encouraged imagination, creativity and confidence while introducing young learners to the story of Lord Rama.
Students of Grades III and IV presented a puppet show titled Good Always Wins, depicting Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana. Through colourful puppets and expressive narration, they conveyed the message that truth and righteousness ultimately prevail.
Grade V students further brought the Ramayana to life through storytelling sessions and skits, highlighting values such as courage, honesty, devotion and respect.
The celebrations also encouraged students to reflect on the deeper meaning of Dussehra beyond its traditional association with Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana. Through the various activities, children were encouraged to recognise and overcome negative qualities while embracing truth, kindness and responsible choices in their daily lives.
The school celebrations concluded with students gaining a deeper appreciation of India’s cultural heritage and the enduring moral lessons associated with the festival.
