Actress Kajol brought a personal family touch to her Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations as she wore a saree gifted by her daughter Nysa while visiting a Ganpati pandal in Mumbai for Bappa’s darshan.
The Dilwale actress shared pictures from her festive outing on Instagram, revealing the sentimental story behind her traditional look. She paired the saree with a gajra crocheted by one of her best friends.
Sharing the pictures, Kajol expressed gratitude for the love and blessings surrounding her.
“My daughter gave me the saree, my best friend crocheted the gajra in my hair @kamalrukhkhan, my other best friend called me for darshan @bhaavgandhi and Bappa gave me his blessing. I am so loved,” she wrote.
In one of the pictures, Kajol is seen posing with the idol of Ganpati Bappa visible in the background.

The spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi swept across Mumbai on Monday as Bollywood and television personalities welcomed Lord Ganesha with devotion and festive cheer. On the first day of the 10-day festival, several celebrities shared festive wishes on social media, while others visited Ganpati pandals to seek Bappa’s blessings.
Kajol had also recently celebrated her son Yug Devgan’s 16th birthday on September 13. Sharing an emotional birthday note, the actress reflected on how quickly her son had grown and expressed her hopes for the person he would become.
Kajol said that despite seeing Yug grow taller and stronger, she still sees the little boy he once was. She wished that he would grow into a good man who faces life with courage, grace and, most importantly, kindness towards himself and others.
