Filmmakers Ram Gopal Varma and Mohit Suri have sparked curiosity among film lovers after teaming up for what appears to be an upcoming project blending romance with gangster elements.
Ram Gopal Varma took to X on Sunday and shared a selfie with Suri, the filmmaker behind ‘Saiyaara’, teasing that the two are working together on something that combines love and crime.
The ‘Satya’ filmmaker wrote, “Me and #Saiyaara’s @mohit11481 for his NEXT film, are COOKING together a LOVE DISH full of GANGSTER CURRY .. Details to be SERVED VERY VERY SOON (sic).”
Varma did not reveal further details about the project but indicated that more information would be announced soon.
The post quickly generated excitement among social media users, with several fans expressing enthusiasm over the collaboration between the two filmmakers.
One user praised Suri’s work and his approach to music, recalling films such as ‘Zeher’ and ‘Woh Lamhe’. Another fan suggested combining the raw gangster treatment associated with Varma’s ‘Satya’ and ‘Company’ with Suri’s signature musical style.

Meanwhile, Varma is currently working on his horror-comedy ‘Police Station Mein Bhoot’, which stars Manoj Bajpayee and Genelia Deshmukh.
Earlier, Varma spoke about reuniting with Bajpayee for the film, describing the collaboration as both thrilling and nostalgic after their acclaimed work in ‘Satya’.
“Working with Manoj again after Satya is both thrilling and nostalgic. Fear becomes most frightening when it challenges the highest authority of protection, and a police station is the ultimate symbol,” Varma told IANS.
The latest collaboration with Mohit Suri has added another layer of anticipation around Varma’s upcoming projects, with details of the new venture expected to be revealed shortly.
