Actress Samiksha Bhatnagar has recalled her experience of working with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in the 2017 comedy-drama Poster Boys, describing Sunny as reserved and humble while saying Bobby made her feel comfortable from the outset.
Bhatnagar, who played Surajmukhi Sharma, the wife of Bobby Deol’s character Vinay Sharma, said most of her scenes were with Bobby. She told IANS that Sunny was “very shy” and did not speak much, but was “extremely humble”.
In contrast, she said her equation with Bobby developed easily. “With Bobby Deol, I never felt that I was working with him for the first time. That gave me a lot of confidence, and I enjoyed the experience immensely,” she said.
The actress added that their comfort extended beyond their scenes. “All my interactions with him were very good. On screen, we were very friendly, and off screen also, we shared a very comfortable equation,” she said.
Bhatnagar also praised Shreyas Talpade, who directed the film and made his directorial debut with it. She said Talpade had a warm approach towards newcomers and ensured that everyone on the set felt part of the team.
“Even Shreyas sir had this wonderful quality of never making newcomers feel that they were new on the set. We all worked together with a lot of warmth and affection. Overall, my experience with them was very good,” she said.
Poster Boys starred Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Talpade, alongside Sonali Kulkarni, Bhatnagar and Triptii Dimri. The film was directed by Talpade and featured Bobby Deol as Vinay Sharma and Bhatnagar as Surajmukhi.
The film marked Bhatnagar’s first lead role opposite a popular actor and followed her earlier television work and a cameo in Calendar Girls.
