Preity Zinta Rushes Across the Globe for Twins Jai and Gia’s First Day of School

Mumbai, September 11, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Actress and entrepreneur Preity Zinta travelled across the globe to make sure she was present for her twins Jai and Gia’s first day of school, saying she “wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world.”

Preity shared glimpses of her journey on X, including a picture of herself during the flight and a view from the aircraft window.

“Rushed across the globe to make it for ‘First Day of School’ Wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world! Ting,” she wrote.

The actress, who generally keeps her family life away from the spotlight, gave fans a peek at the long journey she undertook to be with her children on the special occasion.

Preity is based in Los Angeles with her American husband Gene Goodenough and their twins. She frequently travels between India and the US for professional commitments.

The actress was recently in India to promote her upcoming film Vibe. She has also spoken about how motherhood has changed her priorities and made her more conscious of being present for important moments in her children’s lives.

In a recent conversation with IANS, Preity opened up about balancing her professional commitments with motherhood. She said managing multiple responsibilities is challenging but credited a strong support system for enabling her to pursue different aspects of her life.

“Women are natural multitaskers. If you look at your mom or my mom, she might not have a job but her job is to look after my dad, three children, the household, so many things,” she said.

Preity acknowledged that balancing a career and family is not easy but said she is fortunate to have the means and support to manage both.

“I am very lucky and fortunate and I’m very grateful to God that I have a lot more means so I can have help. I couldn’t have come here if I didn’t have help,” she said.

The actress also stressed that while support can make the balancing act easier, it cannot replace a mother. She praised women who manage their professional and family responsibilities without similar resources, calling their efforts worthy of admiration.

On the film front, Preity recently returned to the big screen after an eight-year hiatus with the period drama Batwara 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and backed by Aamir Khan Productions. The film, starring Sunny Deol, released in theatres on August 14, 2026.
