Actor Amar Upadhyay is set to reprise his iconic role as Mihir Virani in the second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, describing his return to the popular show as an emotional homecoming filled with memories.
The makers recently unveiled a new promo confirming Upadhyay’s return as Mihir, a character that has remained closely associated with his career and enjoys a strong connection with audiences.
Sharing his thoughts on reprising the role, Upadhyay said Mihir is much more than just a character for him and has been an important part of his journey as an actor.
He also recalled the affection audiences have continued to show for Mihir over the years, saying the excitement among fans about his return has made the moment even more special.
Returning to Shantiniketan and stepping back into Mihir’s place alongside Tulsi and the Virani family has brought back numerous memories, the actor said. At the same time, he acknowledged that the family dynamics have changed and that Mihir is returning to a family that has gone through its own journey.
Upadhyay said he is excited to see how viewers respond when Mihir finally walks back into their lives.
With Ganesh Chaturthi approaching, the timing of the character’s return has added another layer of significance to the homecoming.
