Television actor Zain Imam has revealed that he has removed Instagram from his phone, saying he wants to spend more time experiencing life beyond screens, feeds and notifications.
The Naamkarann actor clarified that he has not deactivated his Instagram account. His profile will remain active because of certain work and brand commitments, but he does not intend to remain available on the platform every day.
Sharing the update with his followers, Zain said he would make occasional appearances on Instagram whenever personal life, work or professional commitments required him to.
The actor said he believes there is a “rather beautiful life” beyond social media and encouraged his followers to experience it rather than remain constantly connected to their screens.
Zain’s latest decision comes days after he announced a temporary break from social media. On September 1, he had said he would deactivate his Instagram account for a few days to disconnect from the online world, recharge and focus on things that mattered away from the screen.
At the time, he had clarified that he was not unfollowing or removing anyone and urged followers not to misinterpret his absence. He had also said that he would return after taking some time away from social media.
Zain Imam is known for his roles in television shows including Naamkarann, Tashan-E-Ishq and Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan. He has also participated in the ninth season of the reality stunt-based show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
