Actress Ananya Panday returned home just in time to welcome Ganpati Bappa as she joined her family in celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi.
The ‘Student of the Year 2’ actress took to Instagram to share glimpses of the festive celebrations, expressing her happiness at being home for the arrival of Lord Ganesha.
“Back home just in time for my fave to come home. Ganpati Bappa Morya,” Ananya wrote in her post.
The pictures show Ananya posing with her parents, actor Chunky Panday and Bhavna Pandey. Dressed in a multicoloured suit, she is seen standing before the beautifully decorated Ganpati idol with folded hands. She also shared a playful moment with her pet dog.
Ganesh Chaturthi, which celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, is observed with prayers, festivities and the installation of decorated idols. The 10-day festival concludes with the traditional immersion of the idols.
Several Bollywood personalities, including Divya Dutta, Sunita Ahuja, Tusshar Kapoor, Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh, also welcomed Bappa and shared glimpses of their celebrations on social media.
Last year, Ananya celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at her Mumbai residence with her parents and sister Rysa.
On the work front, Ananya was last seen in Vivek Soni’s ‘Chand Mera Dil’, co-starring Lakshya Lalwani. The film revolves around two college students whose romance is tested as they enter adulthood and navigate new responsibilities. It released in theatres across India on May 22.
